It took a half to do so, but the Warriors hopped on the back of Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durant and took it to the Houston Rockets to force a Game 7 in the Western Conference Finals. They defeated the Rockets by a score of 115 to 86.
With a 64-25 point difference, the second half was all Golden State and the third quarter was particularly ugly for Houston who will be forced to head home and fight for the right to face the winner of the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers series which is also going to Game 7.
What about that third quarter? The Warriors outscored the Rockets, 33-16, highlighted by seven three-pointers. The Warriors showed why and how at any time, they can completely dominate a game and make you look foolish. This was all after trailing by 17 points to the Rockets in the first half.
THE KLAY GAME.

Thompson scored 35 points nailed nine threes, posting his best performance for himself in this year’s playoffs to date. “I don’t want to go home,” Thompson said. “We worked too hard this season to go home. This is what we play for.” Curry added 29 points and while Durant struggled a bit from the field, the combination of the contributions from the Warriors stars outdid James Harden’s 32 points.
No Chris Paul definitely made a difference in Houston’s game and he’s working hard to try and make it back to play in the final game of this series on Monday, May 28. Houston will struggle should they be forced to tackle the Warriors again without their star guard. Meanwhile, Golden State will try to make it four-straight finals appearances and while the home court advantage goes to the Rockets, the momentum is clearly on the side of the Warriors.
Can Curry and the Warriors continue this roll and if they do, can anyone stop them?
The @warriors use a 33-16 3rd Q to take an 84-77 lead heading to the 4th!
