Max Pacioretty is finally ready to join the Vegas Golden Knights as they prep for their first-round series against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Max Pacioretty Golden Knights

According to NHL.com, forward Max Pacioretty has arrived in Edmonton and is ready to join the Vegas Golden Knights as they prepare for their first-round Western Conference series against the Chicago Blackhawks. In fact, more specifically, Pacioretty has been in Edmonton since last Monday and has been in quarantine ever since.

Pacioretty was dealing with an undisclosed injury that kept him out of practice since July 20. Because of that injury, he didn’t travel with his team to Edmonton and missed three round-robin games in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. Still, the Golden Knights were able to win all of their seeding games and took the top spot in Western Conference.

“It gives us more depth. It adds our leading scorer back into our lineup,” head coach Pete DeBoer said. “He helps our power play, he helps in a lot of different areas.” DeBoer may be understating Pacioretty’s potential impact to the Golden Knights lineup as he led Vegas with 66 points (32 goals, 34 assists) in 71 games this season.

It is assumed he will rejoin the team on the top line, but all DeBoer would say is, “We’ll sort out the lines between tomorrow and game time.”

Needless to say, Pacioretty will be a welcome addition to an already winning lineup.
